Our New Prep Buddies!

Today we met our Prep buddies. We have been extremely excited in the lead up to this day. We had the chance to ask our buddy about their life and how their start to school has gone while we sketched each other. We also held the chickens that have just hatched! Afterwards, we taught them the chicken dance. We look forward to seeing them again in 2 weeks.

BTN this week.

We have viewed the BTN episode this week and discussed the impact of the Victorian Bushfires on children in the areas affected. Now you can leave a message for the children who are returning to school this week through the BTN Guestbook.

Also, you can vote on the question: Should jungle clearing be stopped to protect orang-utans?

Updates!

Hi All,

I know that things get eaten by the dog, drawn on by little brothers and sisters, coffee spilt on them or just plain lost. So after a few requests I have updated the parent page so that you can download any letters that have come home. Please note that the school newsletter can be found on the school’s website.

Todays lesson on factors!

Lots of us had trouble with factors in today’s lesson. I have posted a website below to help you out. It is the website I used in the lesson. Make your own factor trees using this interactive site.

Remember, start with the largest factor you can think of…it is not always in your multiplication tables – it may be bigger!
